Our client is New Zealand's premier product supplier for the management of waste water and water-based waste in the civil and rural infrastructure markets. 
  
The Opportunity 
You will perform a key role supporting the project implementation and operational support. Key responsibilities will include:
  
Operational Excellence
  • Assist in development and implementation of a group operational excellence strategy and program
Project Implementation
  • Assist in developing the implementation of best practice policies, procedures and standardisation for: plant and equipment preventative maintenance, national facilities management, quality management system, major and minor capital development
  • Contractor Management – including Health & Safety, JSEA’s, Safe Systems of Work implementation, as built design verification
MQMS / Standardisation /MoC
  • Champion the Management of Change (MoC) and Manufacturing Quality Management System (MMQS) process across all business units and departments
  • Manage the operating procedure auditing process to lock in Management of Change and continuous improvement outcomes
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
  • Identify new process improvement opportunities across all areas of the business (Manufacturing, quality, preventative maintenance, logistics and project management) on a national basis
  • Work with management and team leaders to review/develop meaningful KPI’s that are focused on continuous improvement to achieving best practice
  • Develop internal reporting systems that track performance trends and can be used by line managers to monitor performance and variability
  • Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity
Health & Safety
  • Assist in developing and implementing Safe Work Procedures that support the safe implementation of any project activities and/or maintenance works nationally
  What essential skills and experience you will bring to role:
  • Experience in the development and implementation of manufacturing optimisation programmes
  • Experience in Manufacturing Excellence programme development, implementation and process stream analysis and improvements
  • Experienced in onsite contractor management for project implementation
  • Tertiary qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with H&S/JSEA/SSW/5S
  • Prior development of Permit Systems.
  • Eexperience with problem solving and risk identification tools such as HAZOP, RCA, ACR, JSEA, is preferred
  • Experience preparing SOPs/5S is preferred
  • Experience in development and implementation of MQMS is preferred
