Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager

This organisation is a leading wholesale distribution business serving leading retailers as well as a large number of boutique specialist stores across Australia and New Zealand. They have a proud history of achievement and growth and are now enjoying a period of exciting and sustained growth which creates opportunity and challenge for this role.
  
They now seek a proven Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join the team. Reporting to the MD this role will manage the end to end inventory and replenishment life cycle of the business which has a very high SKU count as well as requiring the management of a significant number of overseas and local suppliers.
Leading a small capable team, you will be required to manage a busy and proactive commercial purchasing and inventory function, ensuring KPIs including DIFOT numbers are achieved on an ongoing basis, as well as hands-on leadership of the buying and shipping functions. In addition, driving operational programs focused on inventory efficiency and commercially focused outcomes.
This complex role requires action orientation and leadership skills to optimize the supply chain process and replenishment life cycle to ensure zero stock outs for priority SKUs customers.

 As the ideal candidate, you have a proven track record in the leadership of inventory management and replenishment functions in companies with high SKU levels and working with international suppliers with significant lead times. You will have solid analytical and systems skills and be comfortable managing a small team as well as a history of successful change management.
