We are seeking for an experienced cook to join our residential services team at mecwacare Annie’s Court, a 60-bed facility in Shoreham.
  
This role will be responsible for the efficient management and operation of the food services department, ensuring the provision of a safe, high quality food services to residents and guests in accordance with the budget and resident needs.
  
To be successful within this position you will possess:
  
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices (Release 1)
  • HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements (Release 1)
  • HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to day implementation of food safety in the workplace (Release1)
  • Food Safety Supervisor
  • Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Experience in working to a set budget.
  • Ability to plan nutritious meals within set time frames and provide high standard of customer service.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements of the elderly.
  • Previous experience in Aged Care.
