mecwacare’s Home Care Services is seeking to employ a casual registered or endorsed enrolled nurse to provide home based nursing in order to reduce hospital stays and improve long-term patient health. Our clients range from children to the elderly. The successful applicants will provide holistic and evidence based nursing to a variety of clients of all ages for post-acute care (PAC) or hospital in the home (HITH) patients. Services to be provided could include wound care, IDC or stoma care, personal care, medication administration and supervision, blood glucose monitoring and application of compression stockings.To apply for this role it is essential you possess the following:
- Sound clinical and assessment skills;
- Initiative and strong decision making skills;
- Effective time management and problem solving abilities;
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Current driver’s licence and registered vehicle.
- Experience in community based care;
- Current WCC Card and interest in working with children with complex needs.
