If you are passionate about establishing robust quality and risk management systems and frameworks with a strong focus on consumer outcomes, then we are looking for you!  This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of dedicated Quality Advisors whilst enjoying the professional benefits of working as part of the broader Business Improvement Team.
In response to ongoing growth in our Residential Services this newly developed position will be responsible for driving the centralised implementation, refinement, monitoring and strengthening of mecwacare’s established quality and risk management systems and processes, in collaboration with key stakeholders across mecwacare’s residential facilities. 

You will lead the Residential Quality team to monitor best practice in care and service delivery, maintain compliance, identify and respond to risks and support continuous improvement, business efficiencies and productivity gains with a focus on positive outcomes for consumers. The role also provides support and assistance to mecwacare’s other service/program areas as required.

Essential key selection criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications within a health services discipline
  • Experience in quality and risk management in the residential aged care sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory regulations relevant to aged care and their application to residential aged care
  • Experience in managing relationships with regulators and other agencies and responding to external compliance audits and requests for information.
  • Experience in conducting internal investigations, review and follow up of incidents, risk and trend data analysis and evaluations.
  • Experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality and risk management systems, including policy development, process mapping, root cause analysis, risk assessment and report writing.
  • Well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking to support decision making, problem solving and guide informed recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
  • Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional
  • Registered or former Quality Assessor
  • Infection control qualification
