About the role

In this key role, you will collaborate with all facet of the IT and broader organisation to assist in the design, implementation and management of information systems in line with guiding architectural standards.

Acting as an enabler and business partner, you will ensure the application portfolio is well managed and that it continues to support the ever changing internal and external business environment in which we operate.

With a plan for continued investment in application consolidation and modernisation, this role will be crucial to the successful delivery of the banks key capabilities. While this may be challenging at times given the complexity of the financial services domain, you will play a major role collaborating with our experienced and dedicated staff to ensure our systems remain industry-leading.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining an accurate application architecture landscape (current and target state) in line with broader business strategy, including detailed roadmaps on upgrades, consolidations, decommissions and new introductions of applications in the portfolio
  • Partners with the business and technology functions to develop and review solution designs to ensure they are robust, scalable, supportable, and compliant with TMBL policies, standards and best practice
  • Providing technology advice, high level research, analysis and guidance to senior business and technology stakeholders to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions
  • Maintaining and applying awareness of emerging technologies and contributes to the investigation of improvement opportunities to drive continuous improvement and ensure TMBL remains innovative and up to date with market leading technologies and industry trends.
About you

To be successful you will have:
  • Extensive experience in evaluating, selecting, designing, integrating and implementing third party applications within a medium size organisation
  • Good experience in delivering and managing a major business application solutions, with a particular focus on cloud/SaaS solutions and integration of such
  • Demonstrable experience in managing a complex application portfolio, including significant vendor management
  • Demonstrable experience in the development of application, integration and data architectures
  • Excellent knowledge of application design, integration, information and data structures
  • Design experience or qualifications e.g. TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman
  • Experience within the IT Industry/financial services across multiple Architecture domains would be highly considered
We are looking for a self-motivated IT professional with exceptional interpersonal skills who enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment. Highly developed analytical, lateral thinking and problem solving skills are paramount.  Your ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences, from simple concepts for management through to detailed technical specialists coupled with your strong stakeholder management capabilities will see you succeed in this role.
