Continued growth has presented an incredible opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate manager with either contract administration or engineering experience, to join AusDilaps as its 2IC.
  
Reporting to the CEO, you will also have close liaison with other executives throughout the parent group, and for the right person, there may be potential to take over from the CEO in the next twelve months.
  
AusDilaps, one of Australia’s leading dilapidation inspections companies, has recently recruited a number of staff to support some of the major infrastructure projects on the East Coast. This role will be based out of our Paddington office but will require periodic travel to Sydney.
  
The role will take on day to day responsibilities from the CEO, ensuring the ongoing profitable performance of the company.
  
Specifically, the role will comprise:
  • Understanding all aspects of the Dilapidations and Property Inspections business
  • Team and staff management
  • Sourcing tenders and business development
  • Opportunity management and liaison with key customers
  • Negotiate and sign off on large tenders
  • Review project contract conditions, ensuring that they are both profitable and we are able to deliver on requirements
  • Ensuring monthly financial reporting requirements are met based on disciplined forecasting, tracking of revenue, costs, business metrics, and overall profitability
  • Appropriate staff utilisation and effectiveness
  • Continual Process Improvement
  • Ensuring all risks are mitigated
  • Maintenance of and adherence to OH&S policies
  • Ensuring that required technical training for staff is current and maintained
Given the potential for the position, we are seeking a high calibre, absolute self-starter, capable of inspiring both the team, management, and customers alike.

You will have:
  • Experience in contracts management or a similar position
  • A previous management role within the Construction industry
  • Construction Contracts Administration, Project Engineer or Site Engineer experience with a reputable mid-tier construction company would be an advantage
  • Proven full business unit responsibilities for management and profitability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, manage, coordinate, and administer supplier agreements
  • Good spreadsheet skills and commercial / financial acumen.
  • Experience with Salesforce software would be an advantage, but is not a requirement for the application
  • Sound technology knowledge
  • Natural talent for people leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationships.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
  • Able to resolve problems and conflicts in a professional and tactful manner
