Our client is a privately owned, multi franchise dealership located in Brighton, Melbourne. They are seeking an experienced, hands on, selling Sales Manager to oversee all aspects of their sales operations. The dealership is ideally located and will reward a strong manager who has energy and ability.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
Oversee day to day operations of the Sales Department including the preparation of monthly management reports, overseeing expenditure and budget achievement, and mentoring sales consultants.
  • Identify and prospect new retail customers from within our primary marketing area
  • Understand the customers objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes
  • Build rapport, forming long term business relationships
  • Lead and undertake all aspects of the sales process, from prospect through to delivery.; and assist less experienced sales consultants
  • Promote a subset of company products and services ensuring successful introductions to Car Care and Finance & Insurance
  • Attend various business and industry events as required.
Experience
  • Previous Automotive Sales experience essential, with demonstrated leadership skills within a retail environment
  • Previous Automotive Sales Management experience preferred
  • Sound administrative and organisational skill sufficient to oversee administrative aspects of the Department
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Sound computer skills and a proven ability to maximise output from available databases
  • highly professional approach, together with a proven strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate sales personnel to ensure the achievement of targets
