About the Role:
  
Reporting to the Site Manager, the role has 2 primary direct reports, the Home Maintenance Team Leader and the Transport Scheduler. Additionally the role has responsibility for a total team of around 10 paid staff and around 100 volunteers. The primary function of the position is the day to day management of the transport and home maintenance teams and associated vehicles and machinery.
  
This position ensures that the whole of the organisation’s fleet of around 50 vehicles is maintained and kept to a high standard. The role manages and monitors processes across the organisation liaising and working with nominated positions across all sites to ensure the vehicle fleet is well maintained and safe. The role also has responsibility for the management of insurance claims for vehicles.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • All aspects of team leadership including adherence to OSH requirements
  • Unit management including financial reporting, roster oversight, budgeting and meeting service delivery requirements.
Registrations and Licences: 
  • Current valid driver’s licence which must remain valid for the duration of employment
  • Recent Federal Police Clearance (dated within 3 months), or willingness to obtain one
Qualifications
  
Essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a team.
  • Certificate 4 in Frontline Management.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience working within the Aged Care funding framework.  
Desirable
  •  Mechanical trades certification or similar.
 Registrations and Licences:
  • Current valid driver’s licence which must remain valid for the duration of employment
  • Recent Federal Police Clearance (dated within 3 months), or willingness to obtain one
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires both sitting at a desk for periods of time based at a site and making regular vehicle inspections climbing in and out of vehicles etc. Pre-existing back or neck injuries may affect the ability to undertake this role.
  • The organisation maintains several sites, this position may be required to work at other sites determined by organisational requirement.
