We are seeking an energetic, customer oriented Parts Supervisor to lead our busy Parts Department. Based at Melbourne Airport the primary focus is to support our workshop and field service technicians.

Reporting to the National Parts Manager, you will be a key part of the state leadership team in delivering collaborative, prompt and efficient service to our customers and maximising the growth of the Branch.

This role will see you responsible for: 
  • Efficiently supervise the parts department including direct reports
  • Manage parts inventory, including stock level monitoring, supplier charges and conduct regular stock counts to achieve KPI's
  • Assist with technical parts enquiries from customers and technicians
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager/Service coordinators to assess and deliver on sales pipeline e.g. Labour and parts availability.
  • Maximise profitability of the department and deliver P&L
  • Proactively drive new business and growth of sales in the Parts department
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following: 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a parts department within the materials handling, Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Industry
  • Hands on experience in stock control and ordering
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to converse on all levels
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manner
  • Forklift License or the willingness to undergo training to obtain one
  • Strong organisational skills and problem solving ability
  • Ability to meet deadlines and forward planning skills
  • Competent computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite (excel etc)
  • Current, valid driver’s licence
  • Able to pass a police check
  • Able to work half day Saturdays on a “as required basis”
