Riverbank Animal Hospital is looking for a casual vet nurse to join the team!!

Riverbank Animal Hospital vets service the Grafton area. We make house calls in Grafton and surrounding suburbs or you can bring your dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, bird, reptile or other small pet to our vet clinic in South Grafton. At Riverbank Animal Hospital our animal companions are an integral part of our families and our work. We do everything possible to assure the best opportunity for our patient’s health and a long life.
  
Our modern progressive veterinary centre of excellence offers a full range of companion animal veterinary services. This includes medical services, pathology, x-ray, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We also offer boarding for pets that have ongoing medical needs. We have a strong emphasis on preventive medicine through regular health checks, vaccination and client education.
  
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.
  • Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own.
  • Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital and kennel areas at all times.
  
What we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Veterinary Nursing with appropriate Certificate IV qualifications is desired but happy to consider all applications with experience
  • An ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of the team
  • A high level of skill in monitoring anaesthetics is necessary
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated client relationship building skills
  • A hard-working and a hands-on approach to your work
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved at all levels, with energy and drive
  • Effective time management and organisation skills
