North Shore Vet Hospital is looking for an experience General Practice Vet Nurse - Full Time

The North Shore Veterinary Hospital (NSVH) is seeking an enthusiastic, patient care focused Full Time General Practice Vet Nurse within our busy referral and general practice.
  
The NSVH is situated on the Lower North Shore of Sydney and has a strong well-established client base. We have an outstanding group of team-orientated veterinarians who work together to provide excellent veterinary care in a fun caring environment. The group is closely associated with North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre, which is an expanding multi-disciplined Veterinary Hospital also located on the lower North Shore of Sydney. We have developed a strong culture based around a collaborative team effort to provide outstanding veterinary care to our patients.
  
Your responsibilities
  • Apply clinical nursing skills including routine anaesthetic and post-op recovery monitoring; blood draw and cannula placement; assess and monitor patient vital signs; identify and report abnormalities.
  • A high level of patient care standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate well with fellow nursing staff, veterinary professionals and associated hospital team members.
  • Be professional and punctual in the workplace.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster Monday – Saturday.
Essential Criteria 
  • Cert IV (or equivalent) qualifications in Veterinary Nursing or currently undertaking Cert IV qualification with minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience.
  • Strong animal handling skills.
  • Sound communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
  • Confidence in all areas of General Practice nursing.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Unrestricted driver's license.
  • Experience in using RX Works.
