About the Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager/Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team. We have a very strong team and feel it’s the right time to appoint a highly motivated Practice Manager to help lead our Veterinary hospital, thus allowing us to focus on providing excellent clinical care.  The Practice Manager’s responsibility will be to oversee the effective operations of the hospital, this will include:
  • Leading and managing the nursing and administrative team to ensure our great culture is maintained and the highest standards of patient care are being delivered at every level.
  • Working with the directors and veterinarian team to develop and implement business plans.
  • Providing professional and competent support to the team and playing an active role in their development plans
  • Challenge us to build upon our high standards of care and service.
  • Oversee effective organisation systems and protocols to maximise efficiency and smooth workflow  
  
We are a small cohesive team, so your veterinary nursing background will be essential on the floor and to help develop and mentor our nursing team.

About our new team member

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Team Leader/Senior Veterinary Nurse position and hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. You will be looking for a new challenge where you will be able to lead a team to ensure excellent customer service and clinical management of cases.  Previous experience rostering and mentoring and managing a team will see you succeed in this position.
