ECC Veterinarian - Melbourne

VetPartners

Great opportunity for a Veterinarian, to join Southpaws hospital team.

The Economist Magazine named Melbourne, Australia the most liveable city in 2017. Melbourne offers distinctive flavours, sights and passions across it’s favourite neighbourhoods. Spending time in this relaxed city you'll discover pockets of busy, chilled, bohemian, architectural and accidentally cool spaces to explore. Find art galleries, bars and restaurants – upstairs and down laneways. Spend your weekends stumbling upon indie fashion boutiques, artisan workshops, and street artists at work; or simply grab your beach towel and head to bayside St Kilda and Port Melbourne.

The Southpaws hospital is based in Moorabbin, just 12 km from Melbourne CBD, and offering great lifestyle options. Southpaws has a world renown reputation for excellence and patient care.  We regularly publish and present our latest work to national and international conferences and at events scheduled for the veterinary community.  Due to our continued growth we expanded our purpose-built facilities in 2018.

Southpaws boasts one of only three veterinary radiation therapy units in Australia and was the first deep-therapy radiation unit for dogs and cats in Australia. We have full in-house laboratory facilities, comprehensive diagnostic imaging including ultrasound, digital X-ray, a 16 Slice Toshiba CT Aquilion and we have access to a 1.5 Tesla MRI. Our team is vibrant, friendly and passionate about the services we offer at Southpaws. Our team includes three surgical specialists, a surgical registrar and three residents (one IM), a team of interns, knowledgeable nurses and support staff.

We are growing our team with the appointment of a Hospital Veterinarian to our team. In this role you will oversee the care of our in house patients, and handle the caseload of referral Emergency and overflow patients.

This role would suit a veterinarian currently sitting or studying the ECC / Critical Memberships.

You will be rewarded with a generous salary & benefits that is reflective of the experience you bring to the position. We will support you with visa application, Australian Veterinary Registration and provide you with tailored relocation support to suit your personal situation.
