The Opportunity
  
Vetwest Animal Hospitals are seeking applications from individuals with a passion for providing a high level of customer service in a client focused veterinary practice. Located in Osborne Park, the position will provide flexible full time working hours. While veterinary nursing qualifications and experience are highly desirable, they are not essential.
  
The central client services team is the first point of contact for Vetwest Animal Hospitals. As the Practice Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring the client services team is providing caring, personalised and professional services to patients, clients and the other teams. Your previous experience in the Veterinary Industry will allow you to engage with clients over the phone, build rapport and loyalty, ensuring you truly understand our clients’ needs.
  
A typical day for our Client Services team includes:
  • Assisting in the answering of all incoming calls in our centralised phone room. On average our team members handle 80 to 100 phone calls each a day.
  • Assisting clients with general enquiries about their pet’s health and updating patient records accordingly.
  • Assessing any potential emergency situations and ensuring the client and their pet is seen to by one of our Veterinarians immediately.
  • Scheduling and managing the central appointment booking system for our 16 clinics.
  • Monitoring online enquiries and responding to emails.
  
The Practice Manager will:
  • Oversee the customer service central reception provides.
  • Ensure schedule management across all 16 sites is done correctly to allow smooth day to day running of each practice.
  • The co-ordination of all administrative tasks (including rosters, monitoring calls and call reports).
  • Planning and conducting team meetings including training topics.
  • Performance management, review and development of the reception team.
  • The implementation and co-ordination of staff training programs.

About you
  
We are seeking individuals who thrive on providing the highest level of customer service and creating an ongoing bond with our clients. The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced veterinary receptionist; however, this is not essential as training will be provided to the right individuals. A demonstrated enthusiasm and passion for providing high-quality customer service is essential. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills and qualities:
  
Qualifications

Desirable: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent/ higher qualification).

Experience

Desirable:
  • Experience working in a veterinary receptionist role with the ability to articulate, listen and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in providing high-level customer service. You thrive on “human” conversations and are driven by your passion for customer service and building relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment so being able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • Experience in leading a team.
  
This role would suit a Vet Nurse who wants a bit more variety to their role, or who wants to step away from clinical work. You are available and flexible to be rostered between the hours of 7.30am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
