Communications Advisor

The communications Advisor is accountable for creating and executing VetPartners internal and corporate communications strategy and programs of work. Based in Sydney, you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, and work closely with the people, integrations and operations teams, as well as the CEO to deliver on, team member-focused communications and on-brand corporate messaging externally.

Your role and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Design, develop and execute the VetPartners corporate and internal communications strategy and programs of work
  • Create informative and interesting communications for our internal team members (veterinarians, vet nurses, vet support office teams, central support office teams) 
  • Develop the company intranet to provide dynamic, engaging and current content which reflects the company culture and is the ‘go to’ point of reference for clinic and support office teams to help them to be self-sufficient to access relevant tools, information, systems as well as to stay informed
  • Create a consistent strategy, style and messaging across our corporate brand channels from websites to social platforms
  • Identifying the changing needs of the business and adjusting communication strategies in response
  • Support various teams to improve quality of written communication where communication is for external use or for large internal audience
  • Manage media relations, enquiries and write media releases when required
  • Conduct end-to-end project management of agreed internal communications projects
  • Measure, track and benchmark internal communication activities to continuously improve. Including creating metrics and delivery quality timely reporting
  • Support the marketing team on written content when required
Our Communications Manager will possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field
  • A minimum of five years in a similar role
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent copywriting experience and grammar skills
  • Critical thinking skills – considering topics and issues in an objective way. Providing structured reasoning and support for an observation
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills. Be able to influence, manage and successfully collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability through words to connect people with the business through motivating messages weaving in our culture
  • Exceptional prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Excellent project management skills and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong eye for detail – getting the small things right first time
