Parramatta Veterinary Hospital is looking for the perfect veterinary nurse to join their amazing team!

Parramatta Veterinary Hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services for small animals in a friendly and caring environment. Our aim is to provide the best quality care for all our furry patients. Our clinic is well equipped, recently renovated and includes an extensive in-house laboratory (lasercyte/catalyst), digital x-ray, brand new digital dental x-ray, brand new ultrasound machine (Sonoscape S9), multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring equipment and two surgical theatres.

We are looking for a permanent part-time vet nurse who is able to work even 2nd weekend.

- Saturday 7am-4:30pm.
- Sunday 8am-12:30pm.
  
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.
  • Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own.
  • Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital and kennel areas at all times.
  • Assist with reception and administration tasks as required.
    
Applicants should have:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience.
  • A keen desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and customer service at all times.
  • Excellent general computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine love for animals and their people.
  • A good sense of humour
  • An eagerness to work as part of a team
