Senior Manager, Innovation, R&D

The Senior Manager of Innovation, R&D, will lead a team of engineers to perform technology feasibility assessment prior to the start of a new product development project, competitive benchmarking studies, as well as work with upstream Marketing to identify trends and technologies relevant to next generation products in the pipeline.
The Senior Manager of Innovation, R&D, will also be responsible for working with Global Design to perform contextual research and voice of customer to identify unmet customer needs.
·     Develop and align technical talent to match business needs.
·     Supports the planning of technology development activities and schedules based on requirements and resources.
·     Promotes innovation and the introduction and application of new technology to the product lines.
·     Often viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff. Builds trust to secure desired outcomes.
·     Provides ongoing input to other R&D functions on policy / program design and effectiveness.
·     Other duties may be assigned.

·     Bachelor’s Degree or local equivalent of same, generally, 12+ years’ experience.
·     Experience providing work direction to others as supervisor, peer coach, team lead, etc.
·     Proven ability to build realistic plans, including resource deployment.
  • Experience in the health care field is highly desired.
  • Strong record of proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills.
·     Ability to establish strategic direction and drive execution.
·     Understanding of team contribution to larger organization and impact on business strategy.
·     Ability to drive a culture of innovation.
