About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping small business owners succeed, grow their businesses and increase their profits. You will be responsible for coaching and supporting our Franchise Business Owners to optimise their store P&Ls by working with them one on one, to improve the in-store systems and processes that drive key P&L line items.  This role offers a unique opportunity to influence some of Australia’s most loved retail brands including Donut King, Crust Pizza, Brumby’s Bakery, Gloria Jean’s Coffees and Michel’s Patisserie.

Key Objectives
  • Work with individual Franchise Business Owners in their stores to establish and refine key operational systems to optimise store profitability while delivering on the brand promise to our customers
  • Provide coaching, insights and tools to allow Franchise Business Owners to establish and maintain in-store systems that optimise the cost of goods and labour costs to deliver consistent, predictable results on their P&L
  • Remedy issues in the P&L by identifying opportunities with in-store systems and processes and work with individual Franchise Business Owners in their stores to develop action plans and resolve
  • Track and measure outcomes of these action plans with Franchise Business Owners
  • Identify opportunities for coaching content and help to develop tools to help Franchise Business Owners
  • Share best practice Franchise Business Owners across brands and with the broader network
  • Build strong relationships with Franchise Business Owners and broader network
  • Take reasonable care to act and behave in a manner that promotes care and diligence to yourself and others in the workplace
Individual Attributes
  • Passionate about helping Franchise Business Owners succeed and grow
  • Previous small business and/or Franchise experience is essential
  • Demonstrated capability in P&L management
  • Understanding of small business cash flow
  • Clear understanding of how in-store processes and systems drive profitability in particular in the areas of cost of goods and labour costs in small business
  • Experience in QSR franchise with a passion for driving P&L efficiency and profit for individual Franchise Business Owners
  • Highly motivated with ability to problem solve and work autonomously
  • Ability to work with business owners to develop actions plans to drive desired outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work on weekends and evenings
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
