Part-time role for an experienced Bookkeeper within an established Tax/Accounting practice. Flexible working hours - 22.5 - 25 hours per week

Our client is a boutique CPA accounting firm with offices located in Adelaide, South Australia and Portland, Victoria.  They provide a range of tax, accounting and business services to their local SME clients. 

They are now looking for an experienced Bookkeeper, who is client solution focused, with a good work ethic to fill a permanent, part-time position within their growing Portland office. 
Duties and responsibilities consist of:

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations
  • Data entry and Invoicing
  • Preparation of BAS & IAS
  • End of month reporting
  • Payroll, including leave accruals and super payments
  • Payroll tax and Workcover reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Basic accounting & tax law knowledge
  • Understanding of ASIC and compliance obligations advantageous
  • Client support and training
Skills, qualifications and experience required:
  • Mature, confident, reliable & responsible
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Polite, professional and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Ability to work within and support the professional accounting team 
  • MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks experience - ideally as an advanced user 
  • Knowledge of cloud based packages & app integration with Xero useful 
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Willingness to contribute to a successful team
  • 3+ years experience in bookkeeping 
  • Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping beneficial but not essential
