APL Group is the market leader of window and doors systems in New Zealand. Recognised for our pioneering and innovative approach, we provide an end to end service for our customers in the New Zealand building industry. We have a newly developed opportunity for a Development workshop and Testing Co-Ordinator. 
We’re searching for an individual with the ability to manage APL’s product development workshop and accredited testing booth facility. This role is ideal for someone who can manage the manufacturing of prototype products and samples for testing to specifications. 
Health & Safety management of the testing and workshop facility, along with the creation of all the appropriate documentation is a critical component of this role. 
The role will be responsible for arranging both on-site testing and in-house testing of new products for both internal and external clients. This role also includes coordinating the manufacturing of test samples and other sample joinery requirements.
To be successful in this role, the following is a must:
  • An ability to document H&S processes
  • A manufacturing knowledge based on previous employment
  • Systematic approach to documentation and STP’s
  • Proven staff management capability
  • An understanding of maintaining quality systems is advantageous
