For this opportunity, you will be based onsite at our Client's - large school based in Horsnby area - for an initial 3 month contract with possible extension.


Key Responsibilities

Joining a small IT team, you will come on board to lead a few projects to completion, bringing your expertise in Routing & Switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, etc.  

Some of your key responsibilities will be:
  • Plan and implement Network Infrastructure
  • Ensure the organisation's data network's performance, integrity, availability and security at all times
  • Upgrade Extreme switches for Hornsby campus and other remote campuses
  • Install Palo Alto Global Protect VPN for staff mobile devices
  • Follow ITIL and Service Management Processes such as Incident, Problem and Change management processes
  • Identify, Analyse and propose resolutions of Network issues & take part in a proactive problem management approach.
  
Technical requirements
  • 5+ years experience working as Network Engineer in complex and medium to large Enterprise environments
  • Previous experience working in a school environment highly regarded
  • Experience working in multi-vendor environments
  • Strong technical skills across routing & switching and Firewalls (Palo Alto, next generation firewalls) 
  • IT degree or equivalent qualification and relevant IT certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
