DevOps Engineer to drive operational readiness - experience with API, microservices and cloud technologies

Our client is looking to engage a DevOps Engineer with Site Reliability experience to drive and facilitate operational readiness for a new program of deliverables ensuring the appropriate support structures have been implemented to enable transition to live status.
This role will see you engaging very closely with vendors so previous experience managing vendors and key stakeholders is a an essential requirement.
This is what your role will look like:
  • SRE (Site Reliability Engineering)
  • Design, implement, and manage standard operating tools, processes and manuals
  • Working on continuous improvement
  • Managing platform changes and releases
  • Managing operational test scenarios and test cases
  • Working with other Information Systems Division to enhance operation delivery
You will come to us with:
  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience desirable
  • ITIL certified
  • Experience with:
    • AWS
    • Azure
    • Internet infrastructure - DNS, routing, firewall, VPN,
    • Windows & VM administration
    • API management
    • Scripting: Powershell
  • Experience with:  
    • Ticket tools: JIRA, ServiceNow
    • Logging tools: Logstash, Sumologic, Splunk, or equivalent
    • Monitoring tools: NewRelic, AppDynamics, Nagios, or equivalent
  • Technical and functional understanding of
    • IoT & microservices
    • Automation
    • Playbook/runbook management
    • Site Reliability Engineering 
  • Understanding and working knowledge ofLean, Continuous Improvement
  • DevOps - CI, CD, Infrastructure automation
