As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will be putting your exceptional clinical skills to use as you make a difference in the lives of your clients and foster the development of others within the broader team, this is a leadership role and we are open to considering exceptional Occupational Therapists with a minimum 1-2 years experience who are looking to transition into a Senior role.  
You will be working for a therapy services provider who delivers quality and safe disability support services, these services are tailored to the individual's wants and needs in accordance to the Disability Act 2006, NDIS Act 2013 and Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities act 2006. Community Care has a modern understanding of disability support - Your mission is to provide the resources to empower your clients to achieve their wants and needs.

We are providing a great opportunity to work part-time or full-time hours and make fantastic money whilst doing so. We are searching for that special Occupational Therapist who will be personable and dedicated to their clients and team. 

  • Forster and develop other Occupational Therapist within your team.
  • Collaborating with our participant’s multidisciplinary team including educators.
  • Assessing, providing feedback and producing quality reports in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living, social/play skills, handwriting, sensory processing
    difficulties, self-regulation and school readiness.
  • Understands how occupational performance relates to developmental stages and how it is impacted by developmental, neurological, intellectual and physical disability
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Occupational Therapy assessment tools relevant to role/sector(s)
  • Demonstrates an ability to assess the equipment needs of clients in relation to daily activities including, sleeping, sitting, safe transport and personal care.
  • Assesses need for modifications to home and other environments accessed by people with a developmental, intellectual or physical disability.
  • Uses appropriate assessment checklist(s) and follows prescription requirements and processes when prescribing or recommending equipment.
  • Demonstrates ability to prescribe adaptive equipment and assistive devices to facilitate and enhance occupational performance
