The role

The Adolescent Registrar will assist in the care of young people in our new in-patient adolescent ward and in outpatient services and will participate in some cover of the paediatric ward after hours and on weekends.  
The registrar position is accredited by the RACP and would be also be suitable for a Paediatric advanced trainee with an interest in Adolescent Medicine.

The Department of Paediatrics is managed by a team of full-time and VMO specialists in Neonatology, (& Retrieval), Paediatric Intensive Care, Oncology, Neurology, AYAM, Rehabilitation Medicine, Developmental Paediatrics, Community Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Child Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and General Paediatrics.

The Hospital

The Hospital is the major paediatric and neonatal referral service, as well as the major university teaching hospital for the state of Tasmania. There is an active registrar training program with research actively encouraged and supported through links with the University of Tasmania and Menzies Research Institute.
