Intro
Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a leading welfare organisation that support vulnerable aged clients maintain their independence by living at home with support to assist in the recruitment of a Social Support Group Facilitator on a part time basis (either 2, 3 or 4 days/week) permanent basis in Wollongong.

Role
As the successful candidate, your role will be to engage with CALD communities to support access to community aged care programs, develop and coordinate social programs that address wellbeing, inclusion activities and community participation as well as leading a small team of support facilitators and volunteers to implement regular social support group programs for aged clients.

Criteria
As the successful candidate, you will: 
  • To be able to connect with communities, and build group based services to meet their needs
  • Coordination skills to get initiate groups and manage a small team of staff and volunteers
  • Experience working in the aged care sector and an understanding of issues relating to older people and their carers particularly from the CALD community
  • Qualifications in either aged care, support, social work, nursing or similar
  • Driving license and own vehicle (reimbursements for travel will be made)
  • Italian Language skills

Further Info
In return, you will be offered an hourly rate in the region of $28-34ph + Super + the NFP benefits of salary packaging.
