Exciting leadership role in residential OOHC

Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a leading Out of Home Care Provider to assist in the recruitment of a House Manager for their new Intensive Therapeutic Care program, working with children and young people in residential out of home care on a full time permanent basis in the Lismore area. The role will be Monday-Friday position working normal business hours, however, due to the nature of the role, some flexibility is required. 

Role 
As the successful candidate you will oversee a team of Youth Workers and work closely with the Caseworker and other ITC staff to provide high quality therapeutic care and assist young people to heal from trauma and achieve their full potential. Other duties include:
  • To manage the daily operations of the home;
  • To coordinate the daily care and support of resident young people;
  • To create and support a therapeutic social environment within the home;
  • To provide leadership, support and supervision to staff in the care and management of each young person
Candidate
To be considered for this position you will have:
  • Relevant degree level qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection and an understanding of statutory child protection frameworks
  • A knowledge of therapeutic care for young people in care
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in program  management, service development and review and experience in delivering positive outcomes for vulnerable young people and their families
Further Info 
In return you will be offered a base salary in the region of $93-97k + super + the benefits of salary packaging associated for working with a NFP organisation dependant upon experience and qualifications.
