With full supply chain responsibility including sales, order processing and manufacturing, this is a great opportunity to step up into a senior business management role and operate within a strong and profitable business. Overseeing a team of 60, you will be a commercially astute and effective leader motivated to ensure continued process improvement across sales and operations while driving growth and profit. A key function of the role is to ensure the smooth on-boarding of a new customer channel.
The role
  • Reporting to the Group CEO, working closely with the Sales Manager and Operations Manager
  • Managing a profitable division of the group specialising in process and manufacture of building products
  • Full supply chain responsibility
  • Collaboration with senior management team to effect results
  • Leading and problem solving within the teams
  • Successful on-boarding of new merchant channel
  • P & L management
  • Full business management responsibility
About you
  • Excellent leadership & people skills, strategic vision
  • Strong communicator, excellent ability to build a team
  • Furniture/commercial joinery or construction background preferred (manufacturing or operations considered)
  • Understand the product – process – despatch process
  • Practical aptitude and ability to focus on the key drivers of the business
  • Proven experience in sales & operations leadership
  • Previous experience running a P&L, commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated capability as a collaborative leader
  • Ability to develop positive rapport and gain respect of the team
  • Capable of supporting the team with problem solving & decision making so they can execute solutions themselves
  • Excellent work ethic, willing to put in the hours required to achieve the company goals
  • Demonstrated success in driving exemplary customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Dynamic and outgoing
  • Could suit someone aspiring towards a GM role in the future
