The Position:
As the Senior Technical Officer, you will be responsible for investigating, reviewing, and preparing reports addressing issues and complaints associated with roads, drainage, traffic management, development applications and other areas of Council infrastructure.

Skills / Experience Required:
  • Extensive experience in a similar role ideally within Local Government with knowledge of civil construction practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of road design and construction manuals (MUTCD, QUDM, Austroads etc.).
  • Knowledge of civil and transport planning processes along with experience in undertaking traffic management studies.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships and an understanding of community expectations.
  • Well developed leadership skills with experience in effectively supervising and managing Contractors and Employees.
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering will be highly regarded.
The position is being offered on a full-time permanent basis (9-day fortnight) with a base salary of $86,219 per annum.
