This Forensic Accounting role requires a candidate with advanced Excel skills, who is CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent) and has a genuine interest in gaining exposure to Advice remediation work. A quick learner, you must possess good problem solving skills and be highly adept at financial modelling.
As a Forensic Accounting Specialist, your role is to work with the wider remediation team and other teams  to undertake and review any required remediation calculations. You will work with a team of financial experts to support the development of models and methodology, act and make a significant contribution to the broader strategy of the team and Advice Services team.
More specifically, you will:
  • Undertake and review loss calculations working within a team of similar financial modelling experts
  • Guide the development and assurance of appropriate standards for calculations
  • Ensure that the team provides quality and targeted advice to business units and subsidiaries in the mitigation of risks identified during investigations, forensic engagements or post-incident reviews
Your skills and experience:
  • Extensive experience in using financial models, coupled with an understanding of database design
  • Significant experience across Accounting/ Finance
  • Formal qualifications across CA/statistics/actuarial
  • Ability to analyse and identify issues and weaknesses in Excel formulas and model design
  • A sound understanding of financial advice, advice strategies and the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver work to specific deadlines and deliverables and tenacity in getting results required
  • Exposure to business methods and to systems/program development and implementation
  • Previous experience in a Remediation role would be highly advantageous
