A highly regarded small (but mighty) Wellington firm is looking for an outstanding employment lawyer to join their tight knit team.


The firm have a really positive team culture. The team are collaborative and work in a shared environment - the large hierarchies in big firms is not present, with open plan shared spaces and a really supportive environment. The team is social and will often head over to Martinborough for wine tours and other social events. 

In terms of your work, you will need to trust yourself to manage your time and get your work done. The firm is open to flexibility and often work from a local cafe. They have modern online systems and processes to make this easy. The team work well together and there is always support and guidance when you need it, with the right mix of autonomy and support. You will be working closely with the two senior managers, so expect interesting, challenging and varied work from the get-go. 


You will need to have had a background in employment law (litigation also is a bonus) with 3 years PQE.
You will be ambitious and driven in growing your career - the partners are looking for a person who can help develop the business as they grow;
You don't want to be mediocre but great - and want to work in a firm who also reflects that;
The team work well together and get along well - fit is really important for the firm;
You will get to be involved in business development so you need to be comfortable with this aspect of the business, as well as being a confident communicator.
