Support delivery of multiple projects through leading technical requirements gathering sessions with internal stakeholders and development partners.

  • Support delivery of projects and business process initiatives
  • Full cycle software development including execution and testing
  • Facilitate requests for enhancements to solutions
As the Business Analyst, you will support the delivery of successful projects through leading technical requirements gathering sessions, conducting and documenting complex business requirements, working with development partners on the delivery of projects and ensuring final work products meet expectations.
  • Lead business process requirements gathering on multiple projects concurrently
  • Prepare/maintain documentation on all aspects of business requirements to support knowledge transfer to other team members
  • Review design work to ensure adherence to Software Development Methodology standards
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of software development - analysis, design, documentation, execution and testing
  • Consult cross-functionally to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting and security requirements
  • Assist the Quality Assurance teams in the creation of Test Scripts (automated, manual), for execution by Quality Assurance team
  • Collaborate with external partners, identifying and recommending areas of process and solution improvement
  • Facilitate requests for enhancements to solutions
  • Manage deliverables to ensure they meet our specifications and quality requirements
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary degree level qualification essential, Computer Science or equivalent highly regarded
  • Prior experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably in a multi-site retail operations environment
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle and understanding of test design and testing methodologies
  • Proficient in developing test plans and test cases from requirements, functional and technical design documentation
  • The ability to read and understand functional, and technical specifications as well as other technical documents
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices
  • Exposure to methodologies such as Prince2, Agile an advantage
  • Project influencing skills and ability to identify risks and drive action to mitigate and resolve issues
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work in a team environment
