Product Owner (Agile ecommerce)
 
My client, a tech lead media company, is urgently seeking a Product Owner to work in their product management team with a vision to transform a number of their major tech offerings. The successful Technical Product Owner will work with the stakeholders and Agile teams to develop and deliver products that align with their vision for the platform. The ideal candidate must be skilled in analyzing complex domain models and interactions between front-end, back-end, and external systems; working with BA's and suppliers and fantastic team of engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience building and technical products.
  • At least 2+ years of experience working as a technical product owner for cross-functional engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong development / engineering background working on digital products or services.
  • Strong understanding of multiple systems and tools 
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies, cloud fundamentals, experience in SAAS/PAAS environments.
  • Good understanding of software integration techniques, architecture and methodology.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, business analysis and planning tools.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for articulating and translating the platform’s vision, features and roadmaps into high-fidelity stories and supporting the scrum team in delivery
  • Works within the scrum teams on a daily basis to set clear direction and expectations, articulate business requirements and help remove roadblocks
  • Ensures that features/stories are accurately represented with requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Works with the scrum team to negotiate, coordinate and deliver product specific releases
  • Works with the development team to creatively solve problems and optimise value delivered within the sprints
  • Owns the team backlog and grooms and prioritizes existing work, including the decomposition of program/portfolio epics/features
