Our client is a manufacturing company based in the western suburbs of Sydney. Their products are utilised in various industries including industrial, engineering and food/beverage companies. This Accounts Officer role will see you reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
  
Role responsibilities:
  
Accounts Payable
  • Coding, checking and obtaining relevant approvals
  • PO matching
  • Handling staff expense claims, entertainment invoices whilst separating client entertainment invoices
  • Payment runs and handling some manual cheques
  • Maintaining supplier Master files and general filing responsibilities
  • Working with Excel to capture freight details and staff travel expenses
  Accounts Receivable
  • Process customer remittance advices into AX Dynamics
  • Handling customer statements from start of the month and communicating with debtors
  • Maintaining the aged receivables and follow up on overdue payments
  • Completing the aged debtor report to escalate to the Financial Controller
  Other Accountabilities
  • Reconciling weekly bank statements
  • Running daily sales reports for AUS/NZ entities and emailing to the relevant parties
  • Assist with customer and vendor account phone enquiries
Having worked in a similar position in an autonomous capacity, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills mixed with high attention to detail. Intermediate Excel Skills is key to the success in this role and AX Dynamics experience is preferred. The suitable candidate will possess relevant bookkeeping and administration experience and wish to continually grow with existing technology in an effort to become increasingly efficient.
