Station Couple position is now available scommencing 2021 on a family owned cattle operation north of Hughenden, QLD.

This Station Couple position is based on a cattle property north of Hughenden and has been in the same family for 100 years. The position is a great opportunity to work in a supportive workplace with a good vibe. One person to carry out Station Hand duties and the other role a Governess position, teaching 2 girls with no learning issues.

The day-to-day role for Station Hand will include, but not limited to:

-   All aspects of cattle handling including yard work and mustering with both bikes and helicopters
-   Fencing - new and maintenance
-   Putting out lick for cattle
-   Checking and maintaining waters
-   General station hand duties

Position Requirements:

-  Positive attitude to work and willingness to learn
-  Farming background with some machinery experience advantageous
-  Ability to operate motor bikes 
-  Current licence and vehicle

The day-to-day role for the Governess will include, but not limited to:

-   Manage and supervise Distance Education program from Longreach
-   Teaching 2 girls - Grades 6 and 3 with no learning issues
-   Willing to help muster and cook if required

Position Requirements:

-  Positive attitude to work
-  Mature attitude or previous experience teaching children
-  Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about assisting children to learn
-  Must be well organised and self motivated
-  Current licence and vehicle
