A diverse agricultural operation is seeking an energetic and vibrant Work Health and Safety Officer to join their dynamic team based in the Riverina.

The Company:

Our client is a diverse agricultural operation now seeking an energetic and vibrant Work Health and Safety Officer to join their dynamic team based in the Riverina area, NSW. This position requires a high degree of flexibility due to the location of the various agricultural entities across the Riverina. 

The day to day role will include, but not limited to:

-    Ensuring company is compliant and adhere to Occupation Health and Safety guidelines and expectations
-    Support Human Resources and Administration
-    Facilitate timely and extensive WHS advice and assistance to Farm Managers and Supervisors 
-    Promote WHS across the company
-    Coordinate/conduct company training requirements with Human Resources 
-    Analyse WHS data to monitor accidents and incident trends and report as necessary 
-    Document, process and investigate/follow up injury/incident
-    Conduct safety audits and prepare action plans
-    Liaise with Farm Managers to assist with identifying workplace hazards 
-    Plan, implement and maintain WHS policies and programs
-    Report to Financial Controller

Position Requirements:

-   Demonstrated 5 years experience as a Safety Officer or similar role that holds relevant qualifications for demonstrated experience in Work Health and Safety
-   Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures
-   Excellent knowledge of potential hazards and practices 
-   Experience writing policies and procedures for health and safety
-   Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
-   Ability to develop relationships and maintain confidentiality within the team at all levels with the company
-   Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent time management and problem solving skills
-   Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels
-   Ability to work independently 
-   Current vehicle licence
-   Agricultural Industry experience would be desirable
