General Farm Hand in now available on a family owned and operated mixed farming operation based near Clermont, QLD.

Our client is a family owned and operated aggregation featuring dry land cropping, including a stock feed enterprise together with cattle breeding/fattening based near Clermont, QLD. A position has become available for an experienced General Farm Hand on this diverse operation. The position ideally suits someone with good farming knowledge; with the ability to operate and maintain large modern farm machinery whilst competently performing all broadacre operations unsupervised. The successful candidate must be a team player, have a great attitude, be energetic and driven.

Position Requirements:

-   Demonstrated current experience in all aspects of broadacre crop production
-   Cattle husbandry experience and/or willingness to learn
-   Ability to show initiative and work autonomously 
-   Sound workshop skills including mechanical knowledge and welding ability
-   Proven longevity of employment
-   Truck licence preferred
-   Chemical Certificate and/or willingness to gain
-   Highly developed communication and organisation skills


The day to day role will include, but not limited to:

-   Operation of modern farm machinery including tractors, headers, spray rig and earthmoving equipment
-   Servicing and maintenance of farm plant and equipment
-   All aspects of cattle husbandry
-   Perform maintenance and repair of fencing and water systems
-   Report directly to owner
