Like many New Zealand charities supporting individuals, families and supporters - this high profile Not for Profit Charity certainly will not disappoint and would rank amongst the top for brand, strategy, people and outcomes.  Dealing with neurological disorders is not known for being the “coolest” of things to campaign for but sadly has touched the lives of many. We are after that special someone who not only keeps the income in and message out but can assist with many areas, namely awareness through compelling marketing collateral, campaigns, conversation, events and fundraising.

The scope of the role is quite significant in terms of overall vision but believe it to be hugely rewarding if looking to utilise your hard built skills… read on!

You see, this role is certainly “fundraising” and you are directly responsible for a budget but you are also part of a well oiled team.  A an engine house that is ticking over with momentum, credibility and passion.

This role is for the Auckland regional branch however can confirm that being the Auckland region and having the lion's share of population the main hub of activity is here.  You will collaborate with the Support Office and their senior team and key regions.

We would love for you to come with experience and passion to further develop and evolve the following functions:

  • Management of the grants function.  The framework is in place, just keep it working.  This is not a copy writer function, more management
  • Individual giving 
  • Donor relations

This organisation is really well known for their annual appeal which is in full swing currently, major events, high profile brand, deep rooted campaigns and message.  All of which you would hold influence over along with the GM or Marketing and Fundraising who is your direct report. That person is the absolute bees knees. Known for some of the most creative and high earning campaigns, you will report right into this person and continue learning directly from them.  

Through a range of functions (above) plus the support of a wider leadership and services / operations team you will continue to build on a set annual revenue amount (to be discussed).

The office space is open and flowing with natural lighting and is “loft” style. With a start asap there can be a solid handover and naturally an induction is in place to get you up and running.  The expectations for this person to deliver the goods is reasonable but challenging. The pressure will come from brand management, ongoing funding targets, handling multiple high value and high profile projects and continually innovating in a crowded market.
