ABOUT BUSY

BUSY At Work is a not-for-profit organisation providing apprenticeship, employment and community programs. We have over 40 years' experience providing skilling solutions and services to businesses, workers and job seekers. BUSY At Work provide a wide range of services including recruitment and apprenticeship support services, employment and community services.

THE ROLE

Contracted to June 2020 with the possibility of extension to June 2022

Based in Maroochydore you will provide intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into work (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or education. You will conduct assessments to identify barriers of the youth of today and provide direction to ensure sustainable employment for the participants.

With your effective communication skills you will engage and refer participants to job providers and community organisations. You will place participants into employment by supporting them with job search activities including matching participants to current vacancies and reverse marketing and support participants with interview coaching and resume preparation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and engage with employers and job seekers from a diverse background. You will be able to work independently and autonomously and effectively facilitate small groups. Previous experience working with disadvantaged youth is desirable, but not required.
