Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Design team (Design for Manufacture environment)

SKOPE Industries have positioned themselves as a commercial refrigeration market leader by building on their history of proven, robust technology and customising it to fit today's commercial needs.  The facility in Christchurch, New Zealand is one of the largest design and innovation centres of its kind in Australasia. 
   
Operating as a design partner, SKOPE offer customised product solutions to a number of international and local beverage and dairy companies and provide a full range of food service refrigeration.  Manufacturing both in Christchurch and China has been instrumental to SKOPE's recent success.
     
This is role for an appropriately experienced Engineer to join our Reliability team, based in the Design department. 
   
You’ll be working closely with multidisciplinary teams comprising mechanical, refrigeration and electrical engineers and members of the production, quality, purchasing and sales team.
  
Your skills and experience will include
  • BE (hons) or similar qualification with industry experience;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems in a proactive and consultative manner;
  • A practical and pragmatic approach to designing experiments that will demonstrate confidence in component/part reliability;
  • Prior experience with reliability specific methods/tools such as design for reliability, life data analysis, failure analysis, accelerated life/usage testing and demonstrating/predicting reliability is an advantage;
  • A demonstrated ability to make things happen and get everyone engaged in the project;
  • Ability to build functional relationships throughout SKOPE and with other stakeholders and to lead through influence in a cross-functional matrix organisation.
