The Talent Development Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of our Talent Management Strategy and Programs by continually enhancing policy, process and initiatives to meet our aspirations on talent management, career development, succession planning, leadership development and retention of talent in line with best practice solutions.
  
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, your responsibilities may include:
  
  • Developing the Talent Management strategy with the Head of HR which ensures that the organisation has the required capabilities to achieve business objectives and for future growth
  • Aligning with Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure that our organisation has the right capabilities at the right time and develop sourcing strategies to build talent pipelines
  • Monitoring progress against the Talent Management strategy ensuring that staff and resources are effectively allocated and deployed
  • Designing and implementing a program of L&D activities to ensure that the organisation achieves its business objectives and can adapt to future business environments
  • Managing and developing cohort programs in partnership with members of the senior HR leadership team that deliver value to the organisation, e.g. graduate program, intern programs, emerging talent etc
  • Designing, developing and implementing organisational talent review processes
  • Continually reviewing, improving and measuring current L&D opportunities with a view to aligning to organisational goals
  • Designing and implementing or sourcing talent management solutions that are fit for purpose around succession management, career frameworks, leadership capability and retention of key talent
  • Procuring and owning the services from external providers where necessary, and ensure they are appropriately managed, monitored, and comply with confidentiality agreements
  • Managing the Talent Management budget to ensure TFA achieves a return on their investment
  
You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in HR or related discipline
  • Several years L&D or HR generalist experience in a change/transformation environment
  • Significant experience designing and delivering learning and development calendar of events in line with Training Needs Analysis for an organisation
  • Experienced in a Talent Development role with full accountability for succession and career frameworks
  • Ability to identify strategic HR related issues, think laterally and apply analytical research skills to develop appropriate solutions
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills
  • Ability to consult at all levels - highly service orientated
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and self-directed with a commitment to energy and drive to ensure goals are achieved
