Our client is a leading Australian law firm with over 100 partners and 800 staff across offices located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. They regularly undertake highly complex and day-to-day transactional legal work for a wide range of clients across multiple industry sectors. Their clients include major Australian and multinational organisations, and they are advisors to more than a quarter of the Top 200 companies listed on the ASX.

Their Property, Construction & Planning Group is one of the most diverse property law practices in Australia. The practice acts for a range of blue chip and institutional clients and some of Australia's largest and most dynamic property management funds.

Currently, they are seeking a Senior Associate with a broad transactional property background to join their team in Sydney. The role will predominately involve a wide range of commercial property transactions, project development work, and complex commercial and industrial leasing, you will be involved in transactions from their initial stage to completion. Acting mainly for project developers, property investors and landlords, you will have excellent direct client contact. It offers an ideal opportunity for a motivated person to work independently yet within a team environment and to progress your business development skills.

You will have easy access to partners and senior practitioners and the ability to discuss ideas with your colleagues.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years+ PAE in commercial property
  • Previous experience working with a level of autonomy
  • A practical and commercial approach to issues and a willingness to meet client deadlines
  • Excellent drafting skills with the ability to draft tailored documents to meet a broad range of client needs
  • A can-do attitude, with a genuine interest to provide excellent service to your clients
  • A passion for client development
  • A strong team collaborative team approach and be motivated to develop and mentor junior lawyers.
