About the Role
Due to ongoing growth & an ever-expanding pipeline of work, GEOCON has brought design in-house. To this end, GEOCON are looking to appoint a Cadet Draftsperson to assist in the delivery of upcoming high-rise multi-res projects.

Working as part of the project team, the Cadet Draftsperson will be responsible for delivering tender and construction documentation whilst working in an advanced Building Information Modelling environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Work with a Project Architect, BIM Coordinator and other draftspersons to create high quality tender and construction drawing packages
  • Create and modify Building Information Models and content included therein to defined modelling standards
  • Extract schedules and other associated data from the Building Information Model
  • Participate in design meetings with the Project Manager, GEOCON design team and consultants
  • Implement changes resulting from resolution of design issues and clash-detection of the 3D models
  • Work with the Project Architect to coordinate with services engineers to resolve building issues
  • Assist the BIM Coordinator to work with a third party documentation firm assisting in creation of drawing packages
Skills Required
The successful candidate will:
  • Have minimum advanced diploma or equivalent in building design / drafting
  • Excellent Revit skills
  • Experience in construction documentation of residential or large-scale commercial projects beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work solidly within a team
  • Willingness to adhere to strong documentation and modelling standards
  • Show strong interest and an aptitude to working with technology in the design space
