About the Role
Working closely with the Site Manager, the Foreperson will be responsible for assisting with the overall leadership, performance and successful delivery of the assigned project.
  
Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Conduct briefings on work requirements safety/environmental issues/concerns
  • Ensure all workers are site inducted and copies of the relevant licences and competencies are obtained and that applicable forms are filled out
  • Ensure participation, through consultation, in hazard identification and reporting by all workers
  • Assist with project spot audits and participate in the site safety inspections
  • Ensure that injuries/incidents and/or dangerous occurrences are recorded and investigated in conjunction with the WHS Manager and Site / Project Manager
  • Day to day coordination and site control of direct labour, plant and subcontracted activities
  • Inspection and monitoring of daily construction activities to ensure compliance with the requirements of the PMP and applicable SWMS
  • In-process inspection to verify that work is being carried out according to specified requirements
  • Incoming inspection of delivered goods
  • Ensure PPE compliance on site
  • Confirm all works are completed as per the documentation, relevant standards and QA requirements including ITPs
  • Management of defects post project completion
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role working on residential development sites desired but not essential
  • A relevant trade background or formal qualification in a construction related discipline
  • Management, leadership and project management capabilities along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of key stakeholders
  • Basic IT skills and willing to learn IT tools for document control
  • Ability to accurately interpret and understand drawings
