About the job 
We currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter on day shift in our Facilities & Services Team. You will join a highly motivated and experienced team who provide excellent, time critical service ensuring the reliability of the production equipment. This is a role that offers the chance to develop your troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a range of state-of-the-art automated production machinery.

About you
The ideal applicant will be self-motivated and resourceful, with the capacity to work with minimal supervision equally well as an individual or as part of a team, with a strong commitment to OH&S and an emphasis on continuous improvement and reliability through the undertaking of planned and preventative maintenance activities.
The successful applicant will ideally possess the following characteristics:
  • Relevant trade qualifications as a Fitter and Turner, with minimum 2 years demonstrated effective trade experience working in a manufacturing environment in the Food, Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of high speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Customer focused and time conscious
