The Role
Reporting to the Head Chef your primary purpose is to be hands on whilst supervising a team of chefs to prepare and present exquisite meals for our modern dining restaurant. You will also contribute to the creation of menu items. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to motivate the team to deliver consistent standards of excellence in food preparation and presentation of meals. On a day to day basis you will be assigned to run a section.

To be successful in this role, you will lead by example in delivering exceptional results in a quality focused environment. Working weekends and evenings until 10pm is a requirement in this role, as part of a rotating roster.

What does the Club need from me?
• 3 – 4 years’ experience working as a senior Chef de Partie in a modern high end dining/hotel restaurant environment.
• Relevant formal commercial cookery qualifications
• Demonstrated leadership experience, staff development and performance management skills
• Ability to re-set team priorities through time management and task prioritisation
• Passionate about motivating and developing your team
• Stock management, quality control and ordering procedures
• Ability to stay composed and effective in high pressured situations
• Food Safety Certification including comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards
• Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
