It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world class facilities which include two golf courses, 18 tennis courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, squash courts, a gym, 2 swimming pools, cafes, a fine dining restaurant, accommodation rooms and multiple function rooms. Events held at the Club include weddings, wakes, birthdays and Club Events including Sporting events.

The role

Reporting to the Events Manager, the successful candidate will be a strong operational leader, excellent communicator and highly organised to deliver functions to meet member and guest expectations. You will be passionate in driving exceptional service standards, being hands on and leading by example a team of Food and Beverage Attendants. You must have the ability to remain professional, composed and organised in high pressured situations whilst at all times demonstrating our core values of Passion, Teamwork, Excellence and Respect.

Responsibilities.
  • Delivery of all day to day operational aspects of Events from the planning and set up to pack down - floor plans and room layout, lead times, audio visual setup, staff rostering including temporary Agency staff, staff briefings prior to Event, sequence of service and safety protocols for Events.
  • Work closely with the Events team and collaborate with other internal stakeholders including the Head Chef, Housekeeping and Sport to ensure execution of Events meets the brief, follows run-sheets and is delivered to satisfaction.
  • Be knowledgeable of the history, traditions, facilities, services and other offerings at the Club to understand how Events fit within the uniqueness of the Club.
  • Ensure all back of house equipment is stored according to standards after the completion of each event. Complete regular equipment stock takes to ensure par levels are adhered to.
  • Attend daily and weekly operational meetings.
  • Ensure that the Club’s service standards and policies are adhered to always by team.
  • Train and empower the team to be able to handle all member, guests and internal stakeholder feedback. Conduct post-event review with Events Manager. Actively investigate any complaints and proactively propose suggestions for improvement to enhance member and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the operational team to ensure they are punctual, professional, courteous, and helpful to members, guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Ensure staff adherence to presentation standards of the Club and understand the importance of impeccable personal hygiene standards.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar hospitality operational role
  • Proven success in team management and operational event execution
  • Excellent communication skills, especially verbal
  • Ability to provide direction and lead a team of Food and Beverage Attendants
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members and internal departments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Knowledge of systems (Point-of-Sale System, Event Booking system)
