Centacare Home Safety Services provides home maintenance and repairs, security, minor modifications, information and referral services to older Australians and people with a disability. Our services have over 25 years of experience in delivering both State and Federal Government initiatives including Home Assist Secure, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Queensland Community Care services as well Veteran Affairs.

The job

Our Home Safety Service has a part-time (22.50 hrs per week), 12 month fixed term Client Service Officer (CSO) positions vacant.  This position will be based in Browns Plains.

As a CSO you will be the first point of contact for actual and referred customers, effectively facilitating customer requests for Home Maintenance and Modifications to enable the Service to achieve high quality responsive, outcome focused service delivery.  This will include the scheduling of Field Officers and Contractors whilst ensuring service provisions are aligned to Centacare's Mission, Vision and Values, principles and policies, and applicable funding Program objectives.

In this role you will
  • Receive, respond and action inbound requests for home maintenance and repairs;
  • Undertake intake & assessment activities to ensure customer eligibility to funded services;
  • Scheduling Field Officers and Contractors work requests; and
  • Undertake administrative duties as directed by the Senior Service Delivery Manager.
Applicants with previous experience in a call centre type setting OR service coordination will be highly regarded.

What we need from you
  • Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or significant experience in a similar role;
  • Previous customer service experience and a genuine passion for service excellence;
  • Excellent telephone manner with strong verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and problem solving skills whilst working in a fast paced environment;
  • Comprehensive computer skills in Microsoft Office;
  • Experience in using customers and/or HR information management systems (TRACC's and Aurion);
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
  • A Working with Children "Blue" card with "Yellow" card Exemption; or willingness to obtain;
  • A National Criminal History Police Check (3 months current), or willingness to obtain;
  • Evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia; and
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate - All workers of registered NDIS providers must complete the module -  to assist the people working in the sector to support people with disability.

You will be paid in accordance with our Collective Agreement, with an hourly rate of $33.26/hr.
