OSHC Coordinator - Good Shepherd (Permanent)

At Catholic Early EdCare we share all parents aspirations to watch their children grow. We do this by incorporating the latest early education research and practice into our programs and creating spaces where children can connect, grow and discover. Good Shepherd Child Care Centre, is one of over 130 Catholic Early EdCare services and part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane operating in South East Queensland.
We are seeking to appoint a Full time OSHC Coordinator to lead our Outside School Hours Care service within our Good Shepherd Child Care Centre. 

This role will work in a newly built facility that accommodates OSHC, Long Day Care + Kindergarten programs. You will join a supportive environment and management team allowing you the opportunity to implement your idea's and make the service your own with the support from the hands on Centre Manager and Head Office. Continuous professional growth will be experienced and you will pass on this support(Mentorship) to your dedicated team of staff who have great relations with all families and children.
Hours: 38 hours per week.
Remuneration: Level 6.4 – 6.6 as per the Children’s Services Award 2010. $34.8763 - $35.6184 per hour – (depending on qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program
  • Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), Advanced Diploma or equivalent in compliance with ACECQA guidelines
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor
  • A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework including National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Educational and Care Services National Regulations 2011
  • Conversant with Early Years Learning Framework & the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
  • Previous experience in child care service management
  • Effective computer skills including experience with child care management software
  • Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff
