We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator to join the team at St James Outside School Hours Care based at Coorparoo

At Catholic Early EdCare we share all parents aspirations to watch their children grow.  We do this by incorporating the latest early education research and practice into our programs and creating spaces where children can connect, grow and discover.  St James Outside School Hours Care is one of over 130 Catholic Early EdCare services and part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane operating in South East Queensland.
We are seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Assistant Coordinator.
St James Outside School Hours Care is a 90 place service. This service is an integral part of the school and parish community. The service provides Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.

We provide quality care for all children attending our centres. Staff are encouraged to assist in furthering children’s learning through intentional teaching and positive interactions.
Hours: 25 hours per week
Remuneration: as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010 - Level 4A.1 being $25.7105 to Level 4.3 being $31.0947 depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Coordinator in the day to day operations of the service, including:
·  Program planning, delivery and documentation
·  Staff rostering and supervision
·  Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
·  Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
·  Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
·  Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
·  Participate in professional and personal development
·  Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare

Job Requirements:
· Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
· First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
· Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
· Consent to being the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator
· Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
· Experience in the education and care of children
· Experience with Xplor
· Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
